Board Track racing was a teens and twenties’ form that involved speeding around a banked, wooden track. It was outlawed because of the high death rate of racers and spectators alike. Harley-Davidson’s Eight-Valve Racer was so successful in board track racing, that it was outlawed by the racing federation at the time.
